At Hampshire Dyslexia, we are passionate about removing barriers to enable individuals with dyslexia to flourish.
Assessments
Assessments are carried out by Dr Grace Elliott. Grace holds an APC (Assessment Practising Certificate) and AMBDA (Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association).
Grace brings over 15 years of experience to the table, having worked as an assessor, a SENCO at leading independent schools and most recently for the British Dyslexia Association. She has a PhD, alongside a PGCE, MSc and MA from Oxford University. Grace has dyslexia and ADHD so also has personal experiences that allow her to connect with clients on a deeper level, creative a supportive environment for the assessment.
Full Diagnostic Assessment for Dyslexia for a Child or Adult (online or in person)
A diagnostic assessment will provide a clearer picture of a young persons’ cognitive strengths and weaknesses. It will also confirm whether an individual has difficulties associated with dyslexia or not. The diagnostic assessment will be followed by a detailed and comprehensive report that contains specific recommendations and strategies. The assessment takes around three hours and can be administered over one or two sessions. The cost of an assessment and report is £550.

Exam Access Arrangements Testing
Please contact us to discuss exam access arrangements assessments for children or adults. This testing can only be conducted if the school is in agreement and contact has been made between the assessor and the school’s SENCO. Packages for schools are available as required.
