Assessments for Dyslexia, ADHD & Dyscalculia, Hampshire UK

Private Combined Dyslexia and Dyscalculia Assessments
If you or your child are finding both literacy and maths unusually difficult, a combined diagnostic assessment can help you understand the full picture. At Hampshire Dyslexia, we offer face-to-face combined dyslexia and dyscalculia assessments in comfortable clinic settings in Fleet and Farnham. Assessments are carried out in line with current SASC guidance and are designed to give you a detailed learning profile, and practical recommendations for the next steps.
Dyslexia and dyscalculia can co-occur, and difficulties with language, reading, processing and retrieval can also affect how someone copes with maths vocabulary, written problems and number-based learning. A combined assessment allows literacy and numeracy to be explored, so recommendations are based on the whole profile rather than on one difficulty in isolation.
We begin with a detailed consultation to understand your concerns, educational history and day-to-day presentation. Screening questionnaires help us gather different perspectives before the assessment. For child assessments, we also ask school to complete a questionnaire so we can build a fuller picture of how your child presents in the classroom as well as at home.
Your combined assessment involves around 3 hours of assessment in total. The assessment is tailored to the individual and may explore language and reasoning, reading, writing and spelling, speed of processing and retrieval, memory and attention, visual-spatial processing, number sense, numerical magnitude, estimation, arithmetic fluency and mathematical problem-solving.
Following the assessment, you will receive a comprehensive written report with clear findings and tailored recommendations. The report is designed to be accessible, practical and useful for the people supporting the learner, and a follow-up consultation is arranged so that the findings and next steps are explained clearly.
Assessments are carried out by Dr Grace Elliott, who brings more than 15 years’ experience across education, a current APC and AMBDA, doctoral research, and previous professional-practice leadership work connected to dyslexia and dyscalculia assessment standards. That means the process is both evidence-led and supportive, with recommendations intended to be realistic and usable in everyday life.
A combined dyslexia and dyscalculia assessment is £875. A standalone dyslexia assessment is £600, and a standalone dyscalculia assessment is £600.
